My next stop was the New York State Pavilion. This incredible modern ruin has long been something I wanted to see in-person. Commissioned by the state of New York for the 1964 World's Fair in New York City (Queens), the New York State Pavilion was the largest in the Fair, and is one of the few structures from the Fair to remain standing today.

The night before I visited the park, we passed by it on the expressway on our way to dinner in Flushing and it really looks ominous and spooky at night.
