I have to think that Hawthorne was a very cool place to live in the 60s. After all, this is where Hot Wheels and the Beach Boys were born. Chips was designed by Harry Harrison (1957) and is a true treasure The signage could use a little TLC. After Pann's this is my second favorite "Googie" style coffee shop that's still operating.
