The chance to do something different with the music of a respected artist whom I admire.

Herbie Hancock's, 'River: The Joni Letters' won the 2008 Album of the Year Grammy.

I had not heard of The Crimea before this contest, but apparently got their song 'Loop A Loop' noticed bigtime in the UK, from it's use in a chewing gum commercial over there.

I had fun doing this one and I think it came out nicely.

Recently signed to Sub Pop for US distribution and featured on the cover of NME magazine, tipped as band of the year for 2008. Foals are known for the intensity and jam nature of their live performance. They formed in Oxford, UK in 2005.

The remix for this one is dark and intense.

Peter Gabriel's REALWORLD label has done some fantastic remix contests in recent years.

Dub Colossus in a Town Called Addis was inspired by meeting, writing and working with Ethiopian singers and musicians in Addis Ababa in August 2006. The collaboration between Dub Colossus and these amazing musicians covers Azmari and traditional styles as well as the popular singing styles of the 60s and 70s.

My remix puts emphasis on the soulful sounds of the backing vocals from this song.

The German collective, Jazzanova, released their long-awaited album, 'Of All The Things', in October, 2008. 'I Can See', features the vocals of Ben Westbeech.

Synthetrix submitted three entries to this contest. Here is one of them.

I really enjoyed doing this remix of Peter Gabriel's 1980 classic, "Games Without Frontiers".

This is my remix of the Simon Latham song, "Change", from his latest album, WATERTIGHT.
This remix of the David Holmes song, "La Dolce Vita" was my first remix contest entry.
